Plato touch-free mixer for home and public places
The Plato range of fittings has been expanded by two models of washbasin mixers with photocell. Apart from comfort of use, their main advantage is that they provide savings in water consumption. Sensory mixers, predominantly associated with public toilets in petrol stations or shopping centres, also seem to be an excellent solution for use in private houses and flats.
In Plato touch-free mixers, water starts to flow once palm gets close to a sensor located under the spout which senses motion within 12 to 18cm. To stop the outflow just move the hand back or wait until safety switch triggers after 60 seconds. This function is especially useful in bathrooms which are used by elderly people and children who happen to forget to close the tap. An additional factor – apart from off-timer – affecting savings in water consumption, and thus reduction of energy bills, is a low flow class Z.
In both models, it is possible to change water temperature. For private bathrooms, we recommend a version with integrated adjustment in form of a small lever provided on the side of the mixer. In public places, Plato with external adjustment, concealed under the top, will suit better. Thus, it is possible to set a fixed temperature or connect the mixer to cold water only.
The battery comes with all the necessary installation elements, connecting hoses, a key for aerator removal and a transformer. The sensor can be powered using two methods – with AA batteries or connection to the mains.
Plato touch-free mixers are available in two most popular finishing versions: classic chrome and elegant black.
