Linear drainage in the bathroom, or a shower without a cabin

A small bathroom needn’t mean a place where we feel claustrophobic. There are several affordable ways to save valuable space and ensure mental well-being.

First of all, a shower as a broadly-understood source of savings. In the case of this form of washing your body, average water consumption is significantly smaller than in the case of a bathtub. Moreover, we save space. Can you decrease the amount of space and the number of materials used even further? Certainly. You may choose to forgo the traditional shower by using a linear drain. In such a case, there is no cabin. This is because even the smallest one restricts freedom of the users. If we were to choose a semi-circular base instead of a rectangular one, we could have more space, but it could compromise comfort. Since we strive for comfort, let’s use the bathroom wall as an element of the shower. Install a transparent side wall. Forgo the base. A discreet drain installed directly on the floor make it possible to lay the same tiles in the shower area as in the rest of the bathroom.

The bare minimum can also consist in selection of the shortest 50-centimetre drain as the length of the finishing strip does not affect water drainage. In such a case, the drain becomes nearly invisible.

In this way, you increase space in the bathroom, both visually and in practice. To maximise use of the bathing area, we can install a flush-mounted shower set. One perfect example is the Raila shower set.

Due to the fact that the elements not needed for showering are concealed during installation, we save space and do not expose installation parts to mechanical damage.

Ideas for saving space are becoming more and more popular. Limitation of the number of materials translates into shorter maintenance. A treat for minimalists and for people who value simple and convenient solutions above all.
