By connecting to a filter, you get fresh water, free from bacteria, viruses, sand, silt, rust and suspended solids - depending on the model and type of filter selected. For washing dishes and food or cleaning the kitchen, use unfiltered water, which is available in the tap each time the lever is pivoted (the stream of filtered water is activated by a button, so you don’t use the filter unnecessarily).
